I believe that true friendship is the medicine of life, and I am
writing this ad in hope of finding just that... Hope keeps me
hanging on and pressing forward towards a positive change...
Without it, I'd be lost.  Success seems to be a matter of hard
work and endurance, and that's what I'm about.
Hello, my name is Robert Butts, and I'm a 31 year-old
death-row inmate.  I was arrested at the age of 18, and have
been incarcerated ever since.  I was still learning then as I am
still learning now, and I've come to enjoy being a student of life..
I enjoy traveling, nature, sports.  I'm definitely the outdoors
type, but I am stuck indoors at the moment, and I find myself
enjoying reading, poetry, exercising, music, and learning.  I am
looking to write people who are open-minded and genuine, the
making for a long lasting friendship.
My redemption is a continual process of change that
promotes day-to-day improvement in my life, and this is how I
would like to be seen through the eyes of the public... Tomorrow
isn't promised to anyone, just as rebirth doesn't necessarily
follow the renouncement of past influences, but as long as each
breath is followed by hope, then anything becomes possible.
If you decide to write me, then hopefully we can build a long
lasting and meaningful friendship.  I would like to close by
saying that the prison environment is not a reflection of me, and
hopefully I can show you that a prisoner is not always a criminal.
