At this moment, the circumstances that I live under do not allow me the
comfort of having the type of relationship with a person where I can truly
consider them a "friend". In fact, I draw my only source of strength and
companionship from my studies and from preparing myself for life
outside these bleak walls. I do get to play basketball and football on a
regular basis , and I enjoy that very much because it reminds me of some
of the fun that I use to have at home. Also, due to my love of writing, I
have been afforded the chance to write and direct a few plays on religion,
prison life, and even sexuality; and, believe it or not, it was not only fun,
but also eye-opening for some of the dudes in here.
I know that the Internet is not an ideal setting for getting to know
someone, but I am not one that has too many hang-ups that would hinder
any willing person from getting to know me. I am open-minded, and I
believe that I have a good heart that allows me to be truthful, as well as
insightful.
With this ad, I want nothing more than to find a good friend who needs an
ear, and has an ear; and if something more happens, then we will deal
with that on our own terms.
