Hello!   My name is Benjamin Lee Lilly.   My birthdate is 2/29/1968, 185
lbs, brown hair and blue eyes.  I have a great sense of humor and am very
open minded.  My hobbies are fishing, hunting, motorcycles, camping and
hiking, most anything outdoors, writing and meeting people, great
conversation.  I am a strong believer in "Don't judge a book by it's cover,"
because each person has their own hidden beauty as well as talents.
Over the past few years, I have seen a lot and definitely know the
meaning of having good friends.  Good friends who are willing to be
around during the bad times, as well as the good times.  Friends may be
met in any place, at any time, under any circumstances practically.  So I
value a true friendship.  I believe in honesty and loyalty to my family and
friends.
After serving nearly five years on Virginia's death row, in the case of
Lilly-v-Virginia 526 US 98881 I was granted a new trial after accepting a
plea bargain of life in prison.  As to not only avoid another death sentence
by tainted jurors and corrupt police officers, but to prevent my family,
friends, and the victim's family from going through another painful trial.  I
have lost a lot of friends and family over the past few years.  It is very
easy to lose contact if someone moves or passes away.  But I try to stay
connected to family and friends as much as I can.  I am a strong believer
in being close to family and friends.  So I would definitely be there during
the bad times as well as the good times.  I don't turn my back on people I
am close to.
I don't have a lot of money, in fact I barely make it in here to purchase
my writing material from the prison commissary.  Not having a job and
being able to work really makes it difficult at times.  Anyone willing to write,
I will try to answer right away.  Anyone willing to send a small money order
for help of the cost of writing materials, commissary, etc., would be greatly
appreciated, but isn't required.  This is not some kind of scam or
something.  I am just looking for a good friend, maybe more, only time will
tell about that.  I have my friendship and loyalty to offer, correspondence
and good conversation.
So if you are looking for a sincere friendship, a truthful and meaningful
friend drop me a letter, and give me a chance.  We all need a friend and
we never know where we will meet them or under what circumstances until
we do meet.  So give me a chance, drop me a letter and this could very
well be a great friendship or more.
I spend a lot of my time in here reading, exercising and so on to pass
the very lonely days.  Like I have mentioned earlier, I don't have a lot of
family and friends left.  So I do hope that you may respond to my ad.  I will
respond as soon as possible. And thank you in advance for responding to
my ad.  Your letters and correspondence are greatly appreciated.  I do not
have e-mail service, just snail mail.
                                                                              Truly,
